Heart of the Home—The Kitchen

This is a GREAT kitchen, truly the heart and soul of the home. A 12-foot counter separates the cooking area from the eating area—a space big enough for an 8-foot table. The kitchen includes a built-in propane stove/oven in a central island with tile counter, a new dishwasher, a newish fridge and swing-out chairs along the counter for breakfast, lunch or snacktime. Like the rest of the house, the kitchen also features glass doors onto the deck. A large laundry room includes counters and loads of cabinets, plus a brand new washer and dryer (negotiable). The master bedroom suite is on the north side of the kitchen, separated from the rest of the house, and another large bedroom with full bath is reached on the south side of the kitchen. The door to the two-car garage with workbench and one of the two stairways to the lower level are on the west side of the kitchen.

The kitchen opens onto the living room, and vice versa.

Hardwood floors and cabinets under a large skylight give the kitchen a warm, homey feel. Lots of counter space and huge cabinets for food, dishes and kitchen equipment. A central island for the stove and efficient workspace for the chef, who can monitor guests and family in the living room or in the dine-in eating area on the other side of the counter.

A 15-foot central counter with attached swivel chairs provide for easy serving
and convenient conversation with the chef.

A large and bright dining area easily fits an 8-foot table in front of doors to the deck.
